Four hundred volunteers dressed in Brush Up Buffalo t-shirts will repaint 15 homes in Buffalo's Kensington-Bailey neighborhood—all in a matter of about four hours—this Saturday morning.

Brush Up Buffalo, a not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization focused on revitalizing City of Buffalo neighborhoods, is seeking another 150 volunteers to register for its yearly event on Saturday, September 18. More than 250 volunteers have registered to date, but it will take a total of 400 to repaint 15 homes in the Kensington-Bailey neighborhood.

Brush Up Buffalo, a not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization focused on revitalizing City of Buffalo neighborhoods, recently secured more than $30,000 in sponsorships and in-kind donations. The support will fully finance Brush Up Buffalo 2010 on Saturday, September 18, where nearly 400 volunteers will repaint 15 homes in the Kensington-Bailey neighborhood.

Buffalo, NY - June 27, 2009 - More than 300 volunteers gave home exteriors in the University District a boost today during Brush Up Buffalo - an annual event that is typically a day-before-Father's-Day tradition in the city. Sixteen low-income, single-family, owner-occupied homes were revitalized in the area surrounding the University at Buffalo South Campus.

Buffalo, NY - Brush Up Buffalo 2009 is rescheduling its annual event from June 20 to June 27 due to inclement weather. Volunteers are asked to check their e-mail and the Brush Up Buffalo Web site (www.brushupbuffalo.org) for further updates. This is the first rain delay in Brush Up Buffalo's 13-year history.
