Buffalo, NY – Brush Up Buffalo, a not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization focused on revitalizing City of Buffalo neighborhoods, recently secured more than $30,000 in sponsorships and in-kind donations. The support will fully finance Brush Up Buffalo 2010 on Saturday, September 18, where nearly 400 volunteers will repaint 15 homes in the Kensington-Bailey neighborhood.
The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo donated at the Paint Sprayer ($15,000) level, and their funding will provide professional lead-safe prep work on houses before volunteers paint. In addition, the Margaret L. Wendt Foundation donated at the Paint Brush ($5,000) level, and Bank of America as well as the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council #4 donated at the House Sponsor ($2,500) level. New in-kind donors Map Sales and Wooster Brush will provide 300 paint brushes and 150 roller covers. Additional in-kind donors include 360 Professional Services Group, clevermethod, Damon Morey, Darling Paint, Erie County Medical Center, Full Circle Studios, Kensington-Bailey Neighborhood Housing Services, Seneca Gaming Corporation, Tops Friendly Markets and the University Heights Community Development Agency.
